Lots Road Power Station

The former Lots Road Power Station in Chelsea — once described as the nerve centre of the London Underground and built in 1902 to power the expansion of the capital's tube network — is being transformed into Chelsea Waterfront, an 8.85-acre mixed-use riverside development comprising ten buildings including two residential towers of 37 and 25 storeys. The centrepiece, known as the Powerhouse, converts the original Victorian power station into 260 luxury apartments, preserving the historic chimneys and industrial fabric while introducing modern living spaces. As the last of London's three great power stations to be redeveloped — following Battersea and Bankside (now the Tate Modern) — the project represents one of the most significant heritage-led regeneration schemes in the city. Natural History Museum Research Centre

The Natural History Museum's new Collections, Research and Digitisation Centre is a £126 million, 25,000 sqm facility at Thames Valley Science Park in Shinfield, funded by a £201 million UK Government investment as part of the NHM Unlocked Programme. Designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios and appointed to Mace as main contractor, the centre will house purpose-built storage for 28 million specimens — around a third of the museum's entire collection — alongside ancient DNA laboratories, cryogenic tissue storage, digitisation suites, and conservation facilities. Its completion will also enable the reopening of two South Kensington galleries closed to the public since 1948 and 2004. A critical element of the structural design was delivered by specialist subcontractor Morrisroe, who developed the post-tensioned concrete frame.
